Montebello, CA (April 1, 2009): TASCAM is announcing an update for their DR-100 Portable Recorder that supports high-resolution 96kHz/24-bit recording. The free software update, version 1.10, is being quality tested and will be available for download from the TASCAM website at the end of April. The DR-100 now supports sampling rates from 44.1k to 96kHz, 24-bit or 16-bit WAV recording and MP3 recording.
The TASCAM DR-100 targets recordists who need a reliable handheld recorder with advanced recording features. Building on the best-selling DR-1 recorder, the DR-100 has a pair of XLR mic ins with phantom power for adding pro condenser microphones. In addition, the DR-100 has four built-in electret condenser mics - two cardioid and two omni - and a built-in speaker for playback. It's powered either through an included Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery or easy-to-find AA batteries. analog line inputs and outputs are also available, as well as a mic stand mounting hole for recording flexibility.

The M-164is a 16-channel mixer with 6 mic inputs, great-sounding EQ and a striking design with built-in meter bridge. | The new TASCAM® CD-355 is an affordable 3U "rack-mountable" solution for schools and commercial installations where extended CD playback is required. The five-disc carousel type CD player supports CD, CD-R/RW, and MP3 playback and is equipped with both digital (SPDIF) optical/coaxial and analog balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) outputs. The Tascam® 2488mkII is the follow-up to the best-selling, simple-to-use 24-track recording and mixing workstation for home studios. Like its predecessor, eight inputs can be simultaneously recorded into the XLR and 1/4" inputs - enough for a whole band. 19 physical faders control mono and stereo channels without scrolling through pages for quick and easy mixing. Each channel has 3-band EQ with a parametric mid-band and access to three built-in effects processors, including reverb and multieffects.

The TASCAM® SS-CDR1 combines Compact Flash and Compact Disc recording into a single rackspace. Designed for applications that previously used a cassette or MiniDisc recorder, the SS-CDR1 records in WAVE or MP3 formats to Compact Flash media. A slot-loading CD transport is provided CD recording, MP3 conversion and audio transfer. The recorder includes balanced and unbalanced audio inputs and outputs, RS-232 and parallel control and a wired remote control.
